Inserting Javascript or PHP
The Problem: You have a nice piece of Javascript you found on a website which you want to place into your SiteFlare. You have tried and tried but your Editor .spits. it out and either nothing is saved or it is saved but doesn't display the funky effect you were hoping for. This is because SiteFlare will strips out PHP and Javascript code which you try to insert into your Editor. SiteFlare is designed to be used by people who have no knowledge of code snippets and as such it has inbuilt safeguards to prevent inexerienced users inadvertently inserting code into their pages that may adversely affect the way SiteFlare works. Remember, if you break your SiteFlare you may not only lose your data, you may also have to pay to have the damage repaired.
The Solution: Unfortunately there isn't a DIY one - SiteFlare is simply not designed for the purpose. However, just contact the Support team (use the form below) and tell them you want to upgrade to SiteFlare Pro, and include the piece of Javascript or PHP code you want to insert. In this way
- both you and we can be sure your code snippet will not break anything
- you will get another template which you can use in any part of your site
Upgrading to SiteFlare Pro is not expensive and the cost will simply depend on the level of customisation you require.
